Marcel is an artist who introduces, witnesses and becomes conversation, reckoning, invocation, assembly. Their voice has unfolded into larger shows, and exhibitions where ancestry, gayness, black and brownness, and the divine can convene, collaborate and grow, reclaiming the scale of voice and platform. As they begin to interact with a material, their poetry becomes a means to receive it–amidst the legacies of their person–waiting for a name. Bigbaby wants to put together more shows with their friends. Bigbaby loves blunts and cuddles, in that order.
